Mediaval Tower Defense

This project was a hackathon Pygame tower defence game. The main aim of the game is to defend the tower from a wave of enemies. I worked on the GUI, animations and assisting with leaderboard persistance

Features of the game includes; waves of enemies, power ups in shop, animations, path-finding and an online-leaderboard integration.

Lessons ~ Limitations

Adapting current python knowledge to new library.
Time-constrained to under 24rs.
Paired programming.

Chrome Dino Remake

Developed a remake of the classic chrome-dino game using a University framework in C++. Features developed includes: animations, dark mode, pause-screen, data persistance, obstacle spawning and win-condition.

Lessons ~ Limitations

Struggled maintaining game performance with scrolling background, so adapted to only implement at start screen.
Implementing Pixel-perfect collision between two different obstacles.

Reversi - Interface Game Development

University project to develop Reversi board game in Java using MVC design pattern. The game features an AI opponent which greedily chooses the best available move.

Lessons ~ Limitations

Learning Java alongside other languages and Swing library.
Implementing the Greedy AI.
Getting familiar with orginal framework and Eclipse enviroment as it was something new to me.
