Who I am
Hi, I'm Daniel also known also known as Dan to close ones, and I am a Computer Science student at the Univeristy of Nottingham. Over the past few years of tranisitionaing from a teen to an adult, I have been able to pick up and develop a range of skills from a technical and non-technical standpoint through work experiences, hackathons and sports
Fun facts
I was born in 2006 in Dublin, Ireland and raised in a small town called Portarlington, then moved to the UK in 2017.
I played football and tennis competivevly for most of my life. I spent my childhood either outside playing something involving a ball or inside playing COD or watching unboxing videos of the latest tech videos. This is where my interest for wanting to work in the tech industry stem from.
I am a fein for a sweet treat (Rock roads to be exact!) and I also love playing tennis when I'm not working on projects or studying towards my degree.
What I'm currently doing
Currently, I am working towards a BSc Computer Science degree, which I am entering my 3rd and final year.
Outside of my courseworks and studying, I play tennis for the BUCS teams at University, which I also take up the role as captain. This role involves planning and communicating logistics with players and staff, and helping to acheive team KPIs on a weekly basis.
